Kelley Rourke is a librettist, translator and dramaturg working in opera and music-theater. As a collaborative artist, Kelley is particularly interested in how CRP principles can help all stakeholders in a large-scale work create and maintain a shared space. In a robust collaborative practice, all parties shift constantly between roles of maker and responder, and Kelley sees the steps of CRP as tools for approaching shared work with a spirit of inquiry at every stage of the game, not just in times set apart for formal, facilitator-led CRP. In addition to freelance engagements at companies across the country, Kelley is resident dramaturg at The Glimmerglass Festival and Artistic Advisor to Washington National Opera’s American Opera Initiative.
