MK Abadoo (she/they) is Critical Response Process (CRP) certified facilitator, with nearly 15 years of experience, practice and training nationally and internationally. They were introduced to the process while performing as a company member with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange (now Dance Exchange). Abadoo is a choreographer, educator and community organizer. Considered a “breakout star” by Dance Magazine, they make immersive and intergenerational dance-theatre performances with communities in the US South. MK is also an Undoing Racism® and Community Organizing workshop Trainer with the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond. They chair the Racial Equity, Arts, and Culture Core of Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) Institute for Inclusion, Inquiry & Innovation, and are also an assistant professor in the Department of Dance + Choreography.
Their CRP work supports university arts faculty and students, K-12 schools and community-serving organizations.
