Elizabeth Johnson Levine (EJ, she/her/hers) is a choreographer, dancer, educator and registered nurse. Her interests include arts and healing, embodied science learning, and leadership development through the arts.

EJ has practiced the Critical Response Process (CRP) for more than two decades and has trained numerous artists, educators and facilitators. Years of experience integrating CRP in youth arts development informed a chapter about CRP and teens in the publication Critique is Creative. Her recent research investigates Critical Response Process through the lens of trauma informed practice.

EJ joined Liz Lerman Dance Exchange 1998 and holds an MFA from Arizona State University. After serving as Associate Artistic Director for several years, EJ returned to school mid-life to become a nurse. She works in intermediate care while also serving as the hospital’s choreographer in residence
