CJay Philip is Artistic Director of Dance & Bmore, a Baltimore-based ensemble creating fusions of original music, movement, and spoken-word. The DAB performance season also highlights writers and composers of color in a series called Bmore Broadway Live. Dance & Bmore Programs designs multi-generational community classes that stimulate the imagination and strengthen communities while building a sense of well being. After an introduction to CRP training with Liz Lerman and John Borstel, CJay saw its value in strengthen her artistic practice and collaborations. CJay is currently a CRP certified practitioners utilizing the process in all Dance & Bmore programs. Partnering with John Borstel, CJay has led CRP training for faculty at Baltimore School for the Arts, advisory groups of Baltimore’s Mayors Office of Employment and Development, and with BIPOC Hollywood writers. She incorporates CRP in Interdisciplinary Collaboration curriculum as well as a grant writing course she teaches at Peabody Conservatory.
