I have been a book and paper maker, classroom teacher, and Teaching Artist in the book arts (writing, paper making, printmaking, book binding, and reading) since 1992. I taught in the Chicago Public Schools in the juvenile jail and for DCFS before becoming an instructor at Columbia College Chicago. For most of my career I taught arts integration to teachers, teachers-in-training, and teens. I have facilitated critique and feedback in the arts since 2002, and in 2021 was certified in the CRP method. Areas of special interest include writing, visual art, curriculum design, and arts integrated lesson planning. Currently I am working on a book of micro memoirs and making Memento Mori visual art.
